Blue Golf

A program already being used by WSGA

·         Computing handicaps

·         Registration of tournaments using a credit card on-line

·         Providing information about each tournament

How are we going to use Blue Golf in 2010?

·         Handicaps:  We are already using as of December 2009.

·         Registration:  This year we will mail in entry forms as usual.  Next year there will be no more mass mailings.  We will be using it for on-line registration.  For those who do not want to use on-line registration, entry forms will be available on web site to print and mail.  (The cost for this section of Blue Golf will be a $3.00 credit card fee per entry.)

·         Information:

Pairings/tee times will be on web site, e-mailed, and mailed to those who do not have e-mail addresses.

2nd day pairings/tee times for 2-day tournaments

Results, practice round/hotel information, access to e-mail addresses for mass e-mailings

(The cost for this section of Blue Golf will be $2.00 per entry.  This year our treasury will pay it, next year it may be part of entry fee.)

Advantages of Blue Golf for WSGA

·         1 click for up-to-date handicaps

·         Printing scorecards, making cart signs, making pairings for any type of format (4-somes, match play, Ryder-Cup, best ball, etc.).

·         Entering tournament scores to our individual handicaps.

·         Helping interns when they are alone at a tournament (system hooks into WSGA office and Aimee’s computer at home).

To access Blue Golf

·         Go to www.wwplga.org

·         On the home page click on the Tournament you are interested in and Blue Golf will come up or click 2010 Tournaments on navigation bar, then the Tournament you are interested.  Either way will work.

·         The Blue Golf web site will look the same as it does for the WSGA tournaments.

·         WWSGA will also be using Blue Golf this year.  To access their tournaments: www.wwsga.net and click Tournaments.

No more mass mailings, everything available to you with the click of a mouse.  I am very excited.
